I’m Hillary Barbati, a Senior Director with Thirty-One Gifts. I’m based in Webster, NY and love that I have a growing team across the country! I fell in love with Thirty-One bags over 9 years ago and it’s been a whirlwind of an adventure!
A little about me…my professional background is in Marketing, but at the time I was working in the pharmacy world. I was invited to a party and wanted it all. I decided these bags were SO great that I needed a permanent discount for myself so I purchased an enrollment kit. A few short months later, I was *LOVING* every minute of my bag lady life and having a few parties each month. I promoted into leadership and have built an amazing team that is on this bag-loving adventure with me. I love that I have ultimate flexibility in my schedule so my family stays my #1 priority, I can be creative with how I approach my business and I can help others be successful and meet their goals!
In addition to my bag biz, I also love to help families plan amazing vacations as a travel agent. I love being a mommy to two crazy kiddos – Enzo (8) and Mia (3). My husband, Dave, entertains all my wild ideas and is so supportive of my businesses. I love being able to treat him and the kids (and myself!) to some fun extras!
Q: What do I need to do to get started?
A: The investment to get started currently ranges from $69 to $189! No matter which kit you choose, you are starting with our best-selling products in the prints and patterns that you choose! That’s right! You even get to pick your prints and some personalization! Check out the kits here.
Q: What's the catch? Do I need to spend a certain amount each month?
A: The next best reason to join the team is that we have no monthly minimums or quotas. To stay active, a consultant needs to submit $200 every 3 months. That can be $200 once a quarter, or $67/month, whatever works best for you and your needs. You can truly make this business work for you and your family – you can do as little or as much as you’d like and scale up or back as life happens… because let’s be real – life happens.
Q: How much time do you spend on your business?
A: As much or as little time as you’d like. Most team members spend about 5 hours a week consistently working their business. That is usually more than enough to keep the momentum rolling and creating a thriving business.
Q: I'm not good at sales. Is there training?
A: I thought the same thing! Lucky for us, the product is AMAZING and it doesn’t require a coffee meeting or a long sales pitch to understand how to use them! My customers love the product for themselves and for gifts. The training program that Thirty-One has for new consultants is amazing, and I have a proven Jumpstart training to help you get started strong. And, of course – I’ll help you every step of the way!
